Mr. Zafar Masud – Due importance have not been given to the SME sector in the past
Chairman of the Pakistan Banks’ Association (PBA), Zafar Masud, addressed a query at a recent conference, expressing that in the past, banks have not given due importance to the SME sector for various reasons. However, with the changing scenario where interest rates are expected to decrease and measures taken to enhance revenue are likely to reduce open market operations, banks will now actively promote digital supply chain finance for the SME sector.
