The session commenced with an insightful introduction and overview of SBS by Dr. Abdullah Zafar, Dean of the School of Business Studies. What followed was a dynamic and collaborative discussion around three key themes:

The School of Business Studies, IBA Karachi hosted industry experts for a discussion on the future of studies, IBA’s role in the changing industry landscape and the perception of the school and IBA by top companies in Pakistan.
Was reminded of the clout that the IBA Alumni have and also how we need to engage with them better through more holistic channels than reunions and meet and greets as the wealth of knowledge they possess determines the direction industries and the country moves towards!
Attendees included Ghias Khan, Zafar Masud, Muhammad Ali, Najeeb Agrawalla, Dr. Owais H. Shaikh, Hamza Abdul Rauf, Muhammad Shoaib Akhter, Haroon Qassim, Farah Asim, Bilal Javeri and Sana Kizilbash. Points discussed included making graduates industry-ready, improving the quality and perception of IBA graduates through timely interventions, designing curriculum and programs that are future-aligned, building character as well as skills of the students, identifying key measurable metrics by which to gauge IBA’s success and how to leverage any accreditations so that they open uncharted avenues for IBA.
