Mr. Zafar Masud at Pakistan's First EV Conference

The Inaugural Pakistan Electric vehicles Conference marked a significant milestone in Pakistan’s journey toward sustainable transportation, and I’m overwhelmed with gratitude as I reflect on the success of the First EV Conference organized by the Climate Action Center Karachi.

First and foremost, a heartfelt thanks to our esteemed panelists and guests who made the event truly impactful. Special gratitude to Senator Sherry Rehman for her inspiring address and unwavering commitment to climate action, and Mr. Zafar Masud, whose insights were pivotal in shaping the dialogue around policy and finance.

A personal highlight for me was sharing the stage with Rabeel Warraich—a true icon in innovation and entrepreneurship. It was not just a learning moment but a fan moment for me as well!

As a host alongside the ever-talented Kinza Naseem, I felt privileged to moderate discussions with such diverse and dynamic stakeholders of the EV ecosystem.

Acknowledging Our Brilliant Panelists:

None of this would have been possible without the dedication of an exceptional team. I’m truly blessed to work alongside brilliant minds like Maira Mumtaz, Warda Mumtaz, Muhammad Faeez, Bilal Hussain, Javeria Faiz, and Kinza Naseem. A special shoutout to my ex-interns, Haider Shad Mahmood Shad Mehmood and Ayesha Faiz—you two continue to make us proud!

A very special thanks to my boss, Yasir Husain Darya, Director of the Climate Action Center Karachi, for placing trust in me and our team. Your support and belief in our vision have been the cornerstone of this event’s success.

A special thanks to Bilal Hussain for his incredible effort in bringing together such outstanding panelists and industry leaders to the conference. Your dedication was key to making this event a success!

It was a privilege to bring together government, industry, academia, and society under one roof for such an engaging and meaningful dialogue. The energy, collaboration, and shared passion in the room left me feeling hopeful for Pakistan’s transition to sustainable transportation.

Proud, humbled, and grateful. Here’s to many more milestones on this journey toward a cleaner, greener future!
